Data controller
The controller of personal data is the Seller identified in the Terms. For matters concerning personal data, write to hello@quietplugs.com.
What data we process and for what purpose
- Concluding and performing the contract of sale: first and last name, email address, phone number, address, the selected Parcel Locker (for delivery to a Parcel Locker), invoice details (if you need an invoice) and information about the order and payment. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Providing the data is voluntary, but without it we cannot fulfill the order.
- Accounting and tax obligations: data from sales documents. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Returns, withdrawals from the contract and complaints, and establishing, pursuing and defending claims: data from the order and correspondence. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR.
- Product reviews: the shipping notification contains a link to the review form; a published review contains its text, rating and the signature you provide. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, that is, our legitimate interest in collecting reviews from buyers. You can object to this at any time.
- Replying to messages: data provided in the message. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Security and operation of the store: technical data, for example the IP address and browser information recorded in server logs. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Statistics: we count daily totals of five purchase steps (visiting the product page, choosing a variant, adding to the cart, going to checkout, purchase), split into phone, tablet and computer. We do not use cookies for this, we do not store IP addresses or identifiers, and we store nothing in your browser. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Google Analytics: only if you agree. We measure how you use the store (pages visited, source of the visit, device type, approximate location and the course of the purchase) to improve the site. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, that is, your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Details are in the Cookie policy.
- Cart reminder: if you enter your email address at checkout and do not finish the order, we store the address, the contents of your cart and the site language to send you up to two messages with a link to your cart: the first one and, if you still do not finish the order, one more. We recognise your browser by a cookie, so you may also get a reminder after a later visit. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, that is, our legitimate interest in letting you finish your order. You can object at any time: click “Turn off reminders” in the message or write to us.
How long we keep the data
- Order data: while the contract is being performed, and then until the limitation periods for claims expire.
- Data from accounting documents: for 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the tax payment deadline passed.
- Correspondence: until the matter is closed and, if it concerns claims, until the limitation periods for those claims expire.
- Reviews: until they are removed at your request or by us.
- Server logs: for as long as needed to keep the store secure, according to the hosting provider’s settings.
- Google Analytics data: for 14 months from collection, or less if you withdraw consent and delete the cookies.
- Cart reminder data: for no more than 30 days from the last change to your cart or your last order. After you turn off reminders, we keep only your email address so that we do not send more.
Who we share data with
We share data only to the extent needed to fulfill the order and run the store:
- the payment operator: PayPro S.A., based in Poznań (Przelewy24 service); if you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, the payment data is also processed by the wallet provider under your agreement with it,
- the carrier: InPost sp. z o.o., based in Kraków (InPost Parcel Lockers and InPost Courier, including the Parcel Locker map at checkout),
- the provider of the order management and shipping system (Base, base.com),
- the hosting provider for the store and email,
- the analytics provider: Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), only if you give consent,
- an accounting firm, if we use one,
- public authorities, when required by law.
If any of these providers processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is done on the basis of a European Commission decision finding an adequate level of protection or on the basis of standard contractual clauses. Google may transfer Google Analytics data to the United States on the basis of the European Commission’s decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
